We are proud to announce that Willamette Dental Group will open scheduling for select non-emergency appointments in Oregon and Idaho starting May 4, 2020. This welcome change is due to restrictions being lifted by the states of Oregon and Idaho, but very strict safety requirements remain in place that severely limit risk of COVID-19 exposure to patients and employees. We are currently waiting for guidance for our patients in Washington. Those patients will continue to have access to emergency appointments at this time.
As health care providers, we at Willamette Dental Group put the well-being of our patients and our staff first. Safety remains the highest priority – and because of that we are following recommendations by state health departments and the ADA that limit the kinds of dental appointments we are scheduling. These recommendations allow for patient care that treats active disease for our patients who are at the highest risk, but prohibits the chance of COVID-19 exposure by postponing certain types of procedures.
We are in the process of calling and rescheduling all patients who had appointments canceled because of COVID-19. The order in which patients will be called is based is on the urgency of their situation and the safety requirements of the procedure. We appreciate the patience of our patients until their appointment can be rescheduled.
