Willamette Dental Group is pleased to announce the promotion of Joanna Mullins, RDH, MHI, to Vice President of Operations. Ms. Mullins has been with Willamette Dental Group for 20 years, serving most recently as Director of Strategy & Service Operations. Prior to that position, she was Manager of Clinical Strategy & Support, Clinical Informatics Specialist and Lead Dental Hygienist. As a member of the leadership team, she will support the vision and mission of Willamette Dental Group.
Even with working as an Administration leader, Ms. Mullins is still a hygienist provider, seeing patients on a regular basis. She also supports the Skourtes Institute by using her expertise in clinical practices and electronic health records as a bridge between data analytics and operations.
“In her new role, Joanna will partner with me to implement various operational initiatives for the organization to support Willamette Dental Group’s mission of being the provider and employer of choice,” shares Kristen Simmons, RDH, MHA, Chief Operating Officer.
Ms. Mullins adds, “I am looking forward to working more closely with our amazing operations team to accomplish great work together. I am excited to help guide strategic initiatives that will continue to support Willamette’s vision as the employer and provider of choice, and ensure the ongoing success of our great company.”
Ms. Mullins received her Bachelors of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the Oregon Institute of Technology and her Masters in Health Informatics degree from the University of Cincinnati. She is a published author and contributor to multiple white papers including; The Journal of Evidence-Based Dental Practice Annual Report Series about periodontal risk assessment and treatment strategies, Dimensions of Dental Hygiene on achieving the Triple Aim in dentistry, and in the Journal of the American Dental Association on evaluating the quality of dental care among diabetic patients.
