The Skourtes Institute
Investing in the future of dentistry.
WHO WE ARE
Promoting advancements in oral health
The Skourtes Institute was established in 2011 by Dr. Eugene Skourtes, CEO and President of Willamette Dental, as a non-profit 501(c)4 foundation that funds academic studies and research focused on oral healthcare and patient care improvement.
The Skourtes Institute was founded to promote advancements in oral health. While research is the focus of the Institute, they also fund scholarships, provider training, and community building to improve patients’ well-being. By improving the oral health of individuals as a collective whole, significant socioeconomic improvements can be achieved within our communities.
We maintain an enduring commitment to our local region of the Pacific Northwest and have a deep sense of pride in our local roots. We are determined to not only improve the health and wellbeing of our local communities but aim to extend our knowledge and best practices to the whole of North America and the international community as well.
The Skourtes Institute is headquartered in Portland, Oregon. Our Board of Directors oversees all the foundation’s efforts. The board meets regularly to ensure all research projects perform efficiently and new ventures are explored.
