Portland, OR – October 2025 – Willamette Dental joined with the Oregon Health and Science University School of Dentistry to sponsor the 2nd annual Global Health Equity trip to the Dominican Republic, an initiative designed to expand access to oral health care and strengthen collaboration among dental professionals across borders.
During the weeklong trip, OHSU dental students, faculty, and mentoring dentists – including Dr. Mahmoud Maghsoudlou, Managing Dentist at Willamette Dental’s Tigard and Tualatin practices – joined forces to provide essential care and education in a rural community with limited access to dental services.
Over the course of five days, the team provided care to 235 patients, completing 339 treatments, including 192 extractions, 94 fillings, and 50 cleanings.
Willamette Dental is honored to support this vital collaboration between current and future dentists, and looks forward to continuing its commitment to global oral health equity in 2026 and beyond.
