Portland, OR — September 6, 2025 — Willamette Dental and Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) School of Dentistry partnered to host a special day of pediatric dental care at the Willamette Dental Lents office. The event served families that are members of the Oregon Health Plan (OHP) and offered hands-on clinical experience for OHSU dental students—demonstrating both organizations’ shared commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
The event was designed to remove barriers to essential dental services for children and support the next generation of dental professionals. Over the course of the day, 56 children, ranging in age from infants to 14 years, received care from a collaborative team of OHSU students and faculty alongside Willamette Dental dentists, hygienists, dental assistants, and support staff.
Services included comprehensive and periodic exams, x-rays and sealants, fluoride treatments, caries risk assessments, cleanings, oral hygiene education, caries-arresting treatments, and translation services.
This event was more than just a day of care—it was a celebration of partnership, education, and service.
